I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
